The building itself has been lovingly restored and retains the building’s original features. You will be greeted by original stone floors, exposed beams, antique furniture, and of course our famed northern hospitality. We welcome both our residents as well as walk-in guests. The Stables, ideal for a visit after Beamish Museum, offers satisfying seasonal menus with dishes prepared from the freshest local ingredients. Indulge in the most quintessentially British tea tradition with our Afternoon Tea experience at The Stables. Savour a selection of hand crafted sandwiches, freshly baked scones presented with clotted cream, preserves and mouth-watering, freshly baked miniature cakes. The charming and rustic atmosphere of The Stables will be the perfect backdrop to your catchup with family and friends, whatever the occasion.
